Postville Blacksmith Shop provides custom architectural metalwork for the residential and commercial industries.
From custom entry gates, hardware, chandeliers, sconces wrought iron railings, striking steel staircases and everything in between. Every project is a unique combination of form, function, and artistry.
Steel Fabrication Welding & Repairs
Postville Blacksmith Shop has been in the same small town since 1856. Since day one we have proudly served farmers and other members of the surrounding community by making repairs on various pieces of equipment and machinery. In addition to small repair jobs we can fabricate steel steel parts.
Subcontract Forgings
Postville Blacksmith Shop can produce forgings in quantities of 1 to 1000 and up to 50 lbs in weight. We place an emphasis on quality and short lead times. Examples of this work are spindles, scrolls, leaves, rings, and textured bars. Our machining capabilities allow us to make custom tooling in house.
Antique Repair
We have fixed roof ornaments, trunks, automobile parts, locks, weathervanes, door hardware, and more. We can reproduce missing elements and match textures and patinas.
Hydraulic Cylinder Repair
We replace seals, straighten rods, make new cylinders for old machines. We work on all types and sizes of cylinders.
Forging Hammers
We specialize in rebuilding forging hammers of all makes, and manufacture the KA-75 Power Hammer for our sister site.
